RISE Graduate Programme Successes

RISE is an innovative, award-winning and unique business support initiative that has connected small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) across the Sheffield City Region with talented, hard-working graduates.

Since 2019 RISE has worked with growing SMEs in the Region to provide unparalleled access to the best graduates. The scheme has:

  • Supported 225 businesses across the nine areas of the Sheffield City Region
  • Advertised 438 graduate jobs
  • Awarded over 100 grants to support businesses with their first graduate hire

The RISE programme is delivered in partnership by Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield, and is part-funded by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.

RISE has successfully completed its 10th and final campaign and the current project is now closed.
